Thousands of Cockroaches Swarm from Suburban Sewer

10 October 2017. Peterson, VA.

Thousands of cockroaches swarmed out of a sewer manhole in suburban Virginia. Local officials offered no explanation about what might have been lurking in the sewers that would frighten cockroaches out onto the wide-open street in broad daylight. A local exterminator did offer some suggestions. Maybe a rodent or bad smell.

Maybe something much older and more sinister than that.
